Case Study: Breast Augmentation Before and After Photos
Four hundred ml of saline implant was placed in each breast. The implant was introduced through a small incision in the natural crease under below the breast. This fold covers the cut and also since the implant is only inflated inside the body the incision is small. She had one child in the past and is often the case her breasts became much smaller at this stage. She also has some drooping and the implant has created a type of lift as well as an enlargement. For many years she wore a padded bra and so she does not expect people will notice the sudden change. She notices at this early stage that the left side is a bit sorer than the right. The experience based on thousands of cases in USA is that always one side feels different to the other. For some reason this can last for a few months and then occasionally the sensation goes but returns after a break. Eventually there is no pain or soreness. A common question is how strong are the implants. They saline implant is extremely resilient. A patient can safely have a mammogram that puts enormous pressure on the implant. They can ride horse, box and do all activity.
A very interesting thing is that there is no consistency in bra sizes. Dr Lanzer has found over the years that patients with an identical breast size may say they wear bras that are 3 sizes different eg a B or a D . It’s important to understand this before surgery so the surgeon can ascertain what size the patient expects.
