What Is A Full Facelift?
A full facelift is a procedure focused on rejuvenating the face of a patient. The treatment is also referred to as the suture lift, since sutures are used to lift some of the facial structures of the patient in question. During the full facelift, the surgeon will remove skin. He will also suture skin and tissue to hold the face in its new position.
To execute the procedure, Dr Lanzer will make small incisions of approximately one centimetre. The incisions are usually made in the skin crease behind the ear. Then, Dr Lanzer uses a long needle and sutures to reach the sagging area that must be lifted. Once the area is reached, Dr Lanzer puts the suture in place and elevates it to the ear. Several stitches are used to hold the skin into its new position.
What Is A Mini Facelift?
The mini facelift is a procedure aimed to lift the lower third of the face; this is done by making small incisions around the ears. The procedure is often obtained to restore chin definition and eliminate common signs of ageing in the lower part of the face.
What To Expect After A Facelift?
Shortly after your facelift, you must rest to allow your body to heal. However, bedrest is not recommended. Instead, the Dr Lanzer Clinic advises some light walking, while taking it easy during the first week after your treatment. During the first few weeks after your procedure, it is common for patients to experience bruising, swelling, and some overall discomfort. Even though these symptoms are common after cosmetic surgery, patients will be required to take prescribed medication to manage these symptoms after their treatment. Patients will also receive post-operative guidelines, which must be followed during recovery. Patients who have questions about their recovery, or any unexpected symptoms they might be experiencing after their surgery, can always contact the Dr Lanzer Clinic for additional information or a follow-up appointment. Your safety is important to us, so patients can always count on our clinic for all their post-operative care.
How Long Does A Facelift Last?
The longevity of a facelift varies from patient to patient. It also depends on the type of facelift obtained by the patient. During your pre-operative appointment, Dr Lanzer can provide you with an estimate on the longevity of your facelift. He can also provide you with more tips on how to keep enjoying the results obtained from your procedure.
How Much Is A Facelift?
Facelift costs may vary from patient to patient too, since certain techniques are more suitable for certain patients than others. Surgery cost may vary on techniques used, but also on the experience of the surgeon and the clinic you have your procedure at. Patients who want to receive a detailed estimate for their procedure can acquire one by contacting the Dr Lanzer Clinic. After evaluating your needs, Dr Lanzer can provide you with an accurate cost-estimate, after which you can determine if the facelift is worth the investment.
Please note that the facelift can be known under a number of names, depending on the facelift techniques used. Sometimes, cosmetic surgeons can also refer to the facelift as a rhytidectomy. Other terms can also be used to point to treatments that can be added to the facelift; this includes the brow lift.
