Learn More About the Treatments for a More Radiant Skin
MediDay Spa combines the latest beauty therapy methods of skin rejuvenation, relaxation and massage with the most sophisticated forms of cosmetic medical procedures. Below, we have listed some of the common treatments you can obtain to keep your skin youthful and radiant!
When Can I Visit the MediDay Spa?
The centre is open daily, it is the ultimate way to unwind. The expert therapist can also advise on the latest treatments for skin rejuvenation, as well as recommend creams for brown spots, redness, pores, and sun damaged skin.
Does MediDay Spa Provide Cosmetic Injections?
There is a range of cosmetic injections that deliver a more youthful appearance for the cheeks, lips and eyes. Makeup can be applied immediately, so patients can return to work immediately.
Patients can currently obtain a new volume filler at the MediDay Spa. The new volume fillers give back the curved full cheeks of youth and last about 18 months. Other injections stop frowning and soften the crow’s feet.
What Is the Most Popular Treatment at the MediDay Spa?
One popular treatment is the medical microdermabrasion. The dead skin cells are suctioned away resulting in smoother skin and a refreshed appearance.
Of course, results obtained from the medical microdermabrasion can be enhanced if the patient maintains a good skincare routine after the treatment. Dr Lanzer can advise patients on their skincare routine and recommend products that are best for their skin type and skin tone.
What Are the Latest Treatments Offered at the Centre?
The new centre offers the latest in photo rejuvenation laser therapy. The new Isolaz laser helps tighten the skin and close pores. Lasers can remove veins, spots, pigmentation and unwanted hairs. Also available are non-invasive fat and cellulite reduction treatments that have no downtime. One of these treatments is the Velashape, which combines radio frequency zapping with deep lymphatic suction.
What Can I Expect from a Face Makeover at the Centre?
Wrinkled and sun damage skin becomes smooth, clean and freshened by lasering it away. As a result, skin that had the appearance of a 70-year-old can take on the appearance of a 30-year-old. The results are long-lasting. The suture uses small thin threads that are passed just under the skin to pull the outer skin layer upwards and outwards. It produces an immediate face skin lift without any excising of face skin.
The lower fat bags beneath the eye can be removed without cutting the skin on the outside. The fat that causes the bulge and the ‘‘tired-looking shadow’’ is easily accessible from the inside surface of the eyelid. The laser makes a fine line and the fat pops out. There are no stitches and no visible skin marks and the result is a more rejuvenated eyelid.
The extra skin that tends to hang down over the upper eyelid is removed by laser surgery performed along the upper eyelid crease. The result is a more open eye.
To determine which treatment suits you best, it is always recommended to book an appointment with Dr Lanzer. Dr Lanzer is an experienced cosmetic surgeon and a licensed dermatologist, so he is the person to speak to if you are interested in face rejuvenation treatments.
What Is Rhinophyma and Does Dr Lanzer Encounter This Condition at His Centre or Clinic?
Rhinophyma is a condition where the sebaceous glands of the nose grow and become very thick. Dr Lanzer can provide treatments for this condition, based on the needs and requirements of the patient.
What Are the Causes of Rhinophyma?
In many cases, rhinophyma has no specific cause and just occurs out of the blue. It may be related to rosacea. With rosacea, patients tend to flush and develop pustules on their skin and possibly blood vessels.
Classically, rhinophyma has been associated with excessive alcohol. However, this is often not the case.
Which Patients Are Susceptible to Rhinophyma?
This is typically seen in middle-aged men but can occur in all different groups.
Is Rhinophyma Accompanied by Risks or Complications?
There is no serious consequence of rhinophyma. It does not affect the passage of air, but it does affect the cosmetic appearance.
How Can One Identify Rhinophyma?
There are different forms of rhinophyma. In the photograph above, one can see that he has very severe thickening of the glands on the 2 sides of his nose called the ala nasi. There are other forms where the entire nose thickens. Sometimes it is just a mild slight puffing of the nose.
What Are the Treatment Options for Rhinophyma?
We have been using laser resurfacing for nearly 20 years to smooth down the rhinophyma. Initially, the CO2 laser was used and now the contour erbium laser works very effectively.
The treatment is usually performed under local anaesthetic. Once the skin is numbed, the laser is passed over the nose repetitively until the skin vaporises away and becomes smaller and smoother. In large cases such as the one above, the procedure was actually done under a general anaesthetic.
Does the Treatment for Rhinophyma Hurt?
Generally, there is no pain during the treatment, but the healing process will be uncomfortable. After about 7 days the skin will heal and should be slightly red, which can be covered with cover-over gels.
Are There Risks Associated with Laser Treatments?
Laser may cause some irregularity or scarring, particularly if the rhinophyma is very large. The area may recur and may require touch-up 2nd treatment.
Can Rhinophyma Lead to Cancer?
No, this is not a condition that pre-disposes to cancer in any way.
Can Rhinophyma Be Caused by Sun Exposure?
No, it is not related to sun exposure but more related to genetics.
How Can I Determine If the Treatment is Right for Me?
The best way is to send a photograph or come in for a free no-obligation consultation in one of our centres all around Australia.
