Venus Viva
Venus Viva
Dr Lanzer has introduced the Venus Viva into his clinic. The Venus Viva is a safe skin rejuvenation method that utilises Nano Fractional Radio Frequency Technology to selectively heat the dermis and initiate collagen remodelling and fibroblast stimulation.
Fractional treatments allow uniform, safe and relatively pain free treatments with little or no downtime. Both the face and body can benefit from this treatment. Radiofrequency works by precisely heating the dermis, which creates an injury in the skin, the bodies healing response is to create more collagen which means it can be used to treat:
- Acne & other types of scarring
- Pores
- Face and Neck skin tightening
- Wrinkles
- General rejuvenation
What Are the Effects of the Venus Viva?
The facelift treatment can help to decrease visible pores for even skin texture, reduce signs of ageing for a more youthful look, even out textural irregularities for refined skin, reduce acne scars for a clearer complexion, reduce deep lines and folds for younger looking skin and tighten and firm the neck and décolleté areas.
Three to four facelift treatments of the Venus Viva are recommended, which are performed at four to six week intervals. The number of treatments required will vary from patient to patient and can be assessed during your consultation with Dr Lanzer and his staff.
How Long Does It Take Until I See Results After Treatment with the Venus Viva?
General skin improvement can be seen within a matter of days but as collagen remodelling happens in the deeper layers of the skin, total skin improvement including smoothing and tightening can take several months to occur. Gradual improvement can continue to occur for up to a year following a series of treatments.

Do I Need Downtime After Treatment with the Venus Viva?
There is minimal downtime with this treatment and minimal pain. A numbing cream is applied thirty minutes before the treatment, so that it is as comfortable as possible.
The Dr Lanzer Clinic recommends incorporating some downtime after the treatment, no matter how minor the side-effects may be. Each patient heals differently too, so some patients may recover faster than others.
Patients who had a treatment with the Venus Viva can obtain some aftercare tips and hints at the Dr Lanzer Clinic. When in doubt about your aftercare, you can also contact the helpful team at the clinic, who will be more than happy to provide you with advice.
How Long Does the Venus Viva Treatment Take?
One session of the Venus Viva takes about an hour and a half from start to finish. Therefore, most patients can easily schedule in this time in their busy schedule. Considering the minimal downtime and side-effects, some patients choose to have their treatment during the workweek. However, it is advised to have the treatment when you have some time off; this allows you to have some downtime when you do experience some side-effects.
Immediately following your treatment, you will be able to return to daily activities. Some patients will experience a mild sunburn sensation and redness post-treatment, which will generally subside within thirty-six hours. We do recommend that you do not take part in any physical activities that day as it can make the skin feel very hot.
What Should I Do Post-Treatment?
Post-treatment is important to protect your skin. Ensure you use a broad spectrum sunscreen (one that protects from UVA and UVB rays) and avoid any sun exposure for forty-eight hours following treatment. A Mineral makeup can be applied twenty-four hours after your treatment.
Between treatments, Dr Lanzer recommends that you use products with Vitamin A and Niacinamide to help stimulate the cells, hydrate the skin and repair damage caused by ageing and UV rays.
Are There Risks Involved with the Venus Viva?
The Venus Viva is a safe treatment; however, all treatments have a minor chance of an adverse reaction occurring, including a small chance of scarring. There is also the possibility of pin point bleeding but this is not more long term.
Pigmentation may occur in rare circumstances. Infection is rare but an outbreak of acne in those prone to this condition may occur, especially following the first treatment. A temporary rash may occur when more superficial wavelengths are utilised.
