Hands Fat Transfer – Before & After The Procedure
Hands are one part of the body that quite easily get forgotten about. We tend to focus on the face and chest for skin rejuvenation when in fact the hands can make you look very aged. The hands tend to see a lot of sun and can become sun damaged, lose volume and are a common area for pigmentation.
Your hands can make you look more aged than you are so keeping them rejuvenated and youthful is important. Dr Lanzer has performed many fat transfers to the hands for effective rejuvenation. This is done by performing liposuction to a small area first – usually just under a local anaesthetic. We take a small amount of fat from the area of your choice, we then process the fat and it is immediately injected into your hands. We can also store your fat in our cosmetic fat bank so you can have the fat injected back into your body for rejuvenation purposes at a later stage if you wish. We have other treatments which are effective for hand rejuvenation such as glycolic acid peels, ipl, dermafraxel, dermapen, microdermabrasion and many more.
The Aura and Revlite lasers are very effective in reducing redness and pigmentation as well as stimulating collagen and elastin in the skin. Upon your free consultation, we will assess the degree of sun damage and volume loss your hands have experienced and give you a range of treatment options, pricing for each and an indication of downtime so that you can best prepare. We recommend using at least an SPF 30 sunscreen on the face every day and a good trick when applying your sunscreen is to rub the excess in to the backs of the hands to ensure these are also protected.
