Hands Fat Transfer Case Study: Before & After the Procedure
Hands are one part of the body that are quite easily forgotten about. We tend to focus on the face and chest for skin rejuvenation, when in fact the hands can make you look very aged too. The hands tend to see a lot of sun and can become sun damaged, lose volume and are a common area for pigmentation.
The fat transfer can be a suitable procedure for hand rejuvenation. It can bring back volume to the hands, subsequently hiding bones and veins that may have come to the surface due to fat loss.
Do you want to learn more about fat transfer on the hands? If so, please read the information provided by the Dr Lanzer Clinic below.
How Is Fat Transfer on the Hands Performed?
Your hands can make you look more aged than you are, so keeping them rejuvenated and youthful is important. Dr Lanzer has performed many fat transfers to the hands for effective rejuvenation; this is done by performing liposuction to a small area first – usually just under a local anaesthetic.
We take a small amount of fat from the area of your choice, we then process the fat and it is immediately injected into your hands.
What Other Treatments Are Available for the Rejuvenation of the Hands?
We have other treatments that are effective for hand rejuvenation such as glycolic acid peels, IPL, Dermafraxel, Dermapen, microdermabrasion and many more. Therefore, the fat transfer is not the only available treatment route to take.
The Aura and Revlite lasers are very effective in reducing redness and pigmentation as well as stimulating collagen and elastin in the skin. Upon your free consultation, we will assess the degree of sun damage and volume loss your hands have experienced and give you a range of treatment options, pricing for each and an indication of downtime, so that you can prepare for your treatment in the best manner possible.
We recommend using at least an SPF 30 sunscreen on the face every day and a good trick when applying your sunscreen is to rub the excess in to the backs of the hands to ensure these are also protected.
To determine which treatment is most suitable for you, it is advised to speak to Dr Lanzer. Dr Lanzer has performed numerous procedures for hand rejuvenation, so he can recommend the proper treatment based on your requirements.
