How We Store Your Fat – Before & After the Procedure
The fat bank at the Dr Lanzer Clinic is used often at the Dr Lanzer Clinic, since this is the place where we store fat for all kinds of cosmetic procedures. Being familiar with our fat bank is therefore important for many prospective patients. If you want to learn more about our cosmetic fat bank, be sure to read the information below.
Why Do Patients Store Fat in Dr Lanzer’s Clinic?
When your fat is stored in our fat bank, we are able to reinject it into you when you would like and when Dr Lanzer thinks is best. To reinject your fat is a simple procedure. Dr Lanzer will review your progress and discuss with you what you want to achieve. From that he can gauge how much fat will be required and subsequently defrosted for reinjection.
How Is My Fat Located in the Fat Bank?
A fat bank stores various supplies of fat from a variety of patients, so many patients wonder how their fat is located once it is stored. The Dr Lanzer Clinic has an advanced system in place, ensuring each patient gets his or her own fat for their treatment.
The process starts as soon as Dr Lanzer determines how much fat is required. Once this is established, one of his experienced nurses will locate your fat using an online barcode-based system, which identifies how much fat you have stored with us and where it is located in our bank.
When the fat is removed from the bank, it is placed in a water bath to defrost carefully at a specific rate; this to ensure cell death is minimised. The fat is then cleaned using a couple of products to ensure it is ready to be injected in to you.
Which System Does Dr Lanzer Use for the Fat Transfer?
Generally, Dr Lanzer will like to use the Cell Brush system to reinject the fat, due to its ability to precisely distribute the fat. This is done by putting a small amount of local anaesthetic in to the area and injecting the fat in through the small cannula.
Of course, treatments evolve continuously. The Dr Lanzer Clinic is dedicated to providing the best treatments, so Dr Lanzer is always looking out for the latest developments in the world of cosmetic surgery.
Will There Be Side-Effects After a Fat Transfer?
You may have a small amount of bruising and swelling post procedure; however, this is generally fairly minimal and does not take long to heal. The beauty about fat injections is that results are immediate. You will be able to see an instant improvement in volume and lift. The fat is very smooth and natural looking. Dr Lanzer has many years’ experience and knows exactly the right amount of fat to inject to get the most aesthetic overall look.
