Case Study: Neck Liposuction Before & After Photos
Benefits of having before and after photos when choosing your surgeon.
Reviewing before and after photos of a surgeons work can offer clues to help you make the right choices when choosing a doctor to perform your surgery.
Before and after photos will give you a sense of the level of skill your doctor has and also his quality of results. You’ll want to review the images closely, looking for the difference in the pre and post op results and also if the results are natural looking.
It is also important to verify that the before and after photos you’re viewing actually represent the surgeon’s work. You should also ask your surgeon if the images have been retouched in any way. A skilled Photoshop artist could minimise the appearance of scars or other imperfections, giving you a false sense of your surgeon’s skills and the results they can achieve. At Dr Lanzer’s clinic, we only ever use before and after photos of our ACTUAL patients. All photos represent one patients experience and if a patient is wearing makeup of any kind it is clearly stated at the bottom of the photo. We do not Photoshop or alter any of our before and after pictures.
When you are choosing a surgeon; Review the before and after photos to get a sense of what’s achievable through cosmetic surgery with your particular body type. Sometimes computer generated renderings using images of your own body can sometimes be a good starting point, but nothing beats seeing real photos of actual patients for getting a true sense of what your body may look like after the surgery is completed.
A cosmetic surgeon’s portfolio of photos should include pictures of women and men with a wide range of body types, shapes and sizes.
Pictures that are taken right after surgery and in the weeks of healing will give you a sense of what you can expect as you recover from the same time of surgery. You’ll have a more realistic picture of what you’ll look like immediately after the surgery in regards to bruising and swelling and what to expect as you recover.
Before and after photos will give you confidence that you’re making the right choice and choosing the right surgeon for you. If you’re happy with the quality of the surgeon’s work you’ll be ready to move on to the next step by scheduling your appointment with your doctor to discuss your options.
Dr Lanzer has many photos on his website as well as in clinic. He also has videos which follow the progress of different surgery patients and their journey. Dr Lanzer thinks it is very important to have before and after photos, that’s why he has so many on his website. If you choose to have your surgery with him, you will also have your photos taken to monitor your progress. These photos are completely private and are only seen by the Doctors and nurses at the clinic.
