Dr Daniel Lanzer has been performing thigh liposuction procedures skilfully for over two decades. He also states that the liposculpture of the thigh was the original area for which liposculpture was intended.
Many women have excessive deposits of fat on their outer thighs. These have been termed the saddlebags and can be quite distressing to women as it affects their appearance in all different types of clothes. A V-shape is often the silhouette that one sees; this makes the person look shorter and chubbier. Sometimes, there is an eight-shape due to the fat bulging on the hips and then again on the outer thighs. Thigh liposuction treatment helps with the contouring and sculpting of the thighs.
As is the case with most cosmetic procedures, the cost of thigh liposuction varies from patient to patient; this because the cost of the procedure can be affected by the amount of fat that must be removed, the overall experience of your surgeon, and the complexity of the overall procedure.
To ensure you get an accurate quote for thigh liposuction, it is always recommended to book a consultation with your cosmetic surgery facility. By booking a consultation, you can determine the cost
of the procedure as well as discover your eligibility for the procedure. So, if you wish to receive an
accurate quote for your treatment, be sure to take advantage of the free no-obligation appointment
available at the Dr Lanzer Clinic. You can also use The Dr Lanzer Clinic to seek a second opinion on cosmetic surgery procedures.
The most common areas are the outer thighs, the inner thighs, and around the knees. Liposuction is also performed on the front of the thighs.
Performing liposuction often involves liposuction of the outer buttocks too. Dr Lanzer will often have his patients tighten the bottom so that he can see how much of the fat, which is sitting on the outer thighs, originates from the buttocks.
Executing liposuction on the inner thighs could improve the overall silhouette of the thighs. Getting inner thigh liposuction can also eliminate problems such as thighs rubbing together. During this procedure, the surgeon often treats the inner knees too; to maintain the symmetry of the legs.
Liposuction executed on the outer thighs can create a slimmer aesthetic for the patient in question. Excess fat cells on the outer thighs can be caused by many factors; this includes genetics, prolonged obesity, and more. If the patient cannot shed the weight on the outer thighs by diet and exercise alone, outer thigh liposuction is often an option.
An increasingly large number of patients now opt for Laser liposuction procedures. If you’re looking to remove fat from the body, get a free no-obligation consultation at the Laser Liposuction clinic with Dr Lanzer.
Request consultationThe thigh is an area that is prone to dents called cellulite. Sometimes, the cellulite will improve with liposculpture and may involve a method called superficial liposculpture. Other times, Dr Lanzer may elect to perform a different procedure using a Cellulaze laser to help break the fibrous fibres down.
After any liposuction procedure, it is normal to feel tender and slightly sore. A post-op requirement of Lipo is wearing compression garments. This along with leg elevation will assist in reducing swelling in the legs.
This is one of the questions that is asked the most at our clinic. Many patients dislike the rubbing of the fat on the inner thighs, particularly when walking or running. Liposuction really improves this in a significant way, but one can never guarantee that their legs will not touch since sometimes the muscle has a diagonal shape; this means that the two sides will always be touching.
Determining the exact recovery time after thigh liposuction is not possible, since each patient has his or her own healing speed. While The Dr Lanzer Clinic can provide you with a recovery estimate, patients should consider taking some extra time off to ensure the body can heal fully.
Liposuction of the thighs is treated in the same way as other areas where liposuction aftercare is concerned. Patients should avoid hot showers for approximately two days and wear a compression garment for two weeks uninterrupted. After the initial two weeks, patients should continue wearing the compression garment off and on for another two weeks. Detailed instructions regarding the compression garment and aftercare will be provided to you by The Dr Lanzer Clinic.

Yes! Liposuction is an effective method of treating stubborn fat areas on the thighs.
Dr Lanzer suggests resting for one-two weeks after your procedure.
By using our special liposuction technique involving local anaesthetic, we are able to ensure our patients are comfortable and minimal pain.
The skin on the inner thighs is notoriously thin. Therefore, the surgeon and patient must be careful not to overdo liposuction in this area.
The most common device used by the Dr Lanzer Clinic, and proven to be quite effective in this area, is the MicroAire, which is a vibrating cannula. Sometimes, we will use other devices such as laser lipolysis or Vaser liposuction. Depending on the method used by the surgeon, most patients can detect an improvement in the aesthetic of the thighs after the patient has recovered from the treatment.
Patients will always have a choice as to what they prefer. Dr Lanzer performs approximately 60% of the thigh liposuctions awake. The others are performed under light, general anaesthesia in the Day Surgery Centre.
Even though patients must take some time off for their recovery, most people only need a couple of weeks after their procedure. However, before resuming your normal activities, always speak to your cosmetic surgery to get the all-clear.
Some patients do have very muscular legs and one often sees this on the front of the thigh; this will be noticeable by a convex curve. It is something that is important to point out to the patient so that the patient understands how they could benefit from liposuction procedures.
Dr Lanzer often draws on before photographs to indicate the areas where the liposuction will occur and the sort of change that one could expect. Dr Lanzer also has 3-axis 3D imaging, which allows patients to have a 3-dimensional view of how they may appear.
Yes, this is often an area that is determined by genetics and sometimes one finds many people in the same family having similar problems. Dr Lanzer recalls performing liposculpture on the thighs of four sisters; this was later published in many media avenues. They were of all different weights and heights, but all shared the same genetic tendency to carry fat on the thighs and struggled with weight loss in this area.
Sometimes, the lower leg is performed together with the thighs; this is not always essential and would depend on the patient’s shape. Because they are seen at the same angle, it is often a good idea to do them together.
The main difference in liposuction will be subject to the amount of fat and its location. Sometimes, it is just a small bulge. Other times, the fat can be quite large and extensive. For example, some patients have large dents, particularly on the outer thighs. Naturally, this can affect the type of treatment recommended by Dr Lanzer.
