On this section of our website, patients can find before and after photographs of patients who had their tummy tuck procedure at the Dr Lanzer Clinic. These photographs are meant to inform patients about the procedure, as well as the aesthetic problems the tummy tuck could be used for.
How Do People Get to You to Have Surgery?
This is an interesting question. The way patients find out about surgery has changed a lot over the last twenty-five years since Dr Lanzer started performing cosmetic surgery. Today, many patients find out about cosmetic surgery via the internet. They search terms such as liposuction or facelift and look to see who has got the best website or who is a name that they recognize. In my situation, having been on television and the media over 100 times, people often recognize the name and therefore come in for the consultation. We offer a free no-obligation consultation, as I feel that giving patients the knowledge is important. It also allows patients to get different opinions before choosing their surgeon.
When Were You Last on Television?
In the last few years, we have been on television twice, which includes on the Insight SBS program where we talked about cosmetic surgery in men. We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of men having surgery almost to the point that it is now 50/50 with women. Men particularly go for facelifts, breast reduction for a condition called gynecomastia, and high-definition liposculpture of the stomach and flanks. Recently, I was also featured on A Current Affair with a man who had lost 200 kilos. This was a massive effort and he had done so well. Unfortunately, with that came the effects of large weight loss. He had a lot of drooping of his lower stomach and I removed skin and fat that was almost 1 meter wide. This is called the tumescent lipo-tuck. He also had fat injected into his cheeks to remove the hollowed drawn look, liposculpture, and tightening of his neck.
Can Patients Talk with Other Patients Who Have Had the Surgery?
Yes, this is one of the services we do offer patients. Sometimes, particularly with new patients, people do like to talk to other patients who have had the procedure and we do make this available once we have received permission from those patients.
Do the Before and After Photographs Show the Result I Can Expect?
The before and after photographs displayed on this website are obtained from patients who had their procedure at the Dr Lanzer Clinic. However, results obtained from a procedure are unique for each patient. Therefore, the photographs displayed on our website should only be an example of the results you could expect from the treatment.
To get the most accurate representation of the results you could obtain from the procedure, we recommend speaking with Dr Lanzer during your consultation. Dr Lanzer could provide you with an example of how your body could change after a tummy tuck. Of course, this is always an estimation and should not be a guarantee.
