Vaser Liposuction Costs
Vaser liposuction is the procedure that Dr. Lanzer performs to enable a high definition muscular appearance in men and an athletic appearance in women. Many people inquire as to what is the cost of Vaser liposuction or high definition liposuction. It is always difficult to be precise on the costs without having the patient in front of myself as the cost of Vaser liposuction does vary depending on the extent of the surgery. For instance, Vaser liposuction may just be reshaping and defining of the muscles of the upper abdomen. It may involve shaping of the side of the abs down the sides of the abdomen and the lower part of the abdomen. Often it does involve doing the associated love handles/hips around the sides of the stomach. Another area that is commonly performed at the same time is the chest or gynecomastia. Some patients do not actually have the chest done, but rather the sides of the chest for high definition of the ‘pecs’.
WHERE IS IT PERFORMED?
As well as is the costs of the liposuction does vary depending on the patient’s size and also in what format the procedure is being performed under. Dr. Lanzer performs all forms of Vaser liposculpture in a fully accredited surgery centre. His main operating center is in the state-of-the-art, fully registered Day Surgery Centre in Malvern in Melbourne. Dr. Lanzer has a number of theatres and these operating theatres are fully dedicated to only work by Dr. Lanzer which he believes keeps the theatres in an extremely clean and sterile state. All operating theatres have specialised airflow methods which constantly are changing the air to be fresh and sterile. As well as this, Dr. Lanzer uses the latest equipment for sterilisation and all sharp instruments are disposable. When looking at the cost of Vaser liposculpture Dr. Lanzer also has to take into account the use of the Vaser liposuction machine. This is a device that is worth approximately $90,000 and is the third generation ultrasound device. It helps soften the fat for easier sculpturing. Dr. Lanzer also uses a highly specialised equipment called the MicroAire which is a vibrating cannula and allows him to more softly remove the fat. It is particularly usefully in male Vaser liposculpture as the fat tissue tends to be more fibrous and is particularly useful when performing the superficial liposculpture method which is used along the 6-pack definition. Therefore, when looking at the costs of Vaser liposculpture one can only give a very approximate guideline. Generally, the average cost would be around $7,000. There are other costs that also needed to be taken into account. There is a GST charge. There may be extra charges for theatres and for the general anesthetic fee. Dr. Lanzer, when performing this procedure under general anesthetic, uses a specialist anesthetist. He has used the same anesthetist for nearly 20 years. He has extensive experience in performing anesthesia for Dr. Lanzer’s cosmetic procedures.
WHEN IS PAYMENT MADE?
The costs of Vaser liposculpture is usually made as a one-off payment. It covers the patient for all after care. Dr. Lanzer is a very hands-on surgeon. He likes to see patients regularly after the surgery. This may involve 10-20 visits. There are no charges. The only time extra fees or costs would apply would be for extra treatments afterwards such as massage or VelaShape radiofrequency for enhanced skin tightening. If a patient went for further liposculpture of another area then there would be some extra fees. Dr. Lanzer keeps these costs at a very reasonable rate.
WHAT IS THE COST IN USA?
Interestingly, when he trained in this procedure many years ago from a group of American and South African specialists, they informed him that the costs of high definition liposculpture in America is usually around $24,000. Dr. Lanzer believes that the high definition liposculpture can give an excellent result and besides the skills that he already has, it does not actually take him extra time to perform. Therefore, he does not charge extra for the costs of having Vaser high definition liposculpture as opposed to plain liposculpture. Dr. Lanzer is focused on giving the patient the best results and will show patients types of results that they can obtain which depends largely on their individual shape.
As outlined in this article, the cost of a Vaser liposuction can vary on many different things. Therefore, it is important to understand that a patient can only get a clear view of treatment cost by obtaining their treatment plan from a cosmetic surgeon. Of course, you do not necessarily have to pay anything to get that treatment plan, because our cosmetic surgery clinic provides patients with a free consultation when they visit our clinic for the first time. Patients can book this free consultation by entering their information on the web form, but also by contacting our team of receptionists via telephone.
The treatment plan contains more than the estimated cost of your procedure though, because it also contains vital information about the treatment itself. Patients will also receive a consent form via email, which must be signed by the patient before Vaser liposuction takes place. In this consent form, patients can find more information regarding the risks and possible complications accompanying the procedure. Therefore, the patient must read this information carefully before signing. If you have any questions about the information in your treatment plan, the cost of your treatment, or the information in the consent form, please contact the Dr Lanzer Clinic for assistance.
