Hi Def Vaser Liposuction Procedure By Dr Lanzer
Hi Def Vaser Liposuction is the most artistic of all liposuctions. Dr Lanzer carefully sculpts the body to reveal a more athletic physique and can achieve the ever popular ‘six pack’ appearance. In this, more than any other procedure it is up to the expertise and experience of the doctor to be able to work with your existing musculature and visualise what you should look like to achieve amazing results.
Dr Lanzer was the initial doctor in Australia to travel overseas and receive hands on training in the Vaser Liposuction method by the surgeons who discovered the method. The meeting was held in Japan. Since then, Dr Lanzer has refined his own method, based on years of personal experience of more than 15,000 Liposuction cases, which allows him to create a muscular and athletic appearance for both men and women.
Hi Def Vaser Liposuction FAQs
Am I cheating by getting a muscular look with surgery?
The truth is that in many ways it is Unnatural to get a full 6 pack at the gym. It often involves months of work, restricted food and fluid and many people explain to Dr Lanzer that the muscle definition can only be held onto for a short period. The High Def Vaser Liposuction on the other hand enhances ones own shape and musculature. It’s actually one’s own muscle shape that becomes more visible by selective removal of fat around tendinous insertions.
Are there implants with Hi Def Vaser Liposuction?
NO. Nothing is inserted into the body to create the shape.
Do I need to be fit and slim?
Interestingly nearly all shapes and sizes can benefit from Hi Def Vaser Liposuction.
It actually helps the results if there is a layer of fat. Do do not try and loose all your weight before the procedure.
Can men with big barrel chests and stomach have Hi Def Vaser Liposuction?
Dr Lanzer has found that the definition also improves the cosmetic result in this setting since the stomach looks muscular rather than bulged.
What is the role of fat transfer?
Sometime Dr Lanzer will recommend fat transfer at the same time as the High Def Vaser Liposuction. The fat may be placed in the upper chest or in the muscles of the arm.
What’s the point of the VASER machine?
Vaser is a specialised form of ultrasound. This sound wave dissolves fat and can enhance skin retraction. In Hi Def Vaser Liposuction, Dr Lanzer may also use microaire technology which vibrates the fat apart.
Anything else I need to know?
As well as a specific vaser liposuction machine a tumescent technique is also used to achieve this look. All this means is that we initially use a tumescent fluid with its many benefits as outlined below:
– Numbs the area so that it can be done awake and post-surgery discomfort is reduced.
– Seals the blood vessels so that there is little or no bleeding, resulting in safer liposuction and less bruising. There is generally no need for intravenous ‘drips’ or blood transfusions
– Softens the fat so that it comes out smoothly and evenly, allowing much greater amounts of fat to be removed safely.
– Is anti-sceptic to help prevent infection.
– Allows superficial liposuction Hi Definition Vaser Liposuction removal of the fat tissue with a limited incision size.
Is it right for me?
Hi Def Vaser Liposuction is ideal for individuals who are wanting to sculpt and define the body rather than just total overall fat reduction.
Perhaps you work out regularly and eat healthy yet you struggle to achieve or maintain that chiselled six pack. Or you are overweight and want to define your abdominal area. Either way hi definition vaser liposuction is here to give you the body you have always wanted.
What results can I expect?
Results vary between individuals and preference but the most common of Hi Definition Vaser Liposuction is six pack sculpting. You can see in our before and after photographs how natural the results look and are possible for many different body shapes. This can be achieved in both men and women. We can sculpt the body also to reveal a ‘v’ shape appearance.
What are the areas treated with Hi Definition Vaser Liposuction?
1) the most common area is the upper stomach to produce a 4 or 6 pack appearance. These are groups of convex shapes with horizontal lines.
2) separating the chest from the stomach with definition
3) sides of the stomach which ultimately gives a V appearance. This is desired also in women.
4) sides of the chest – pec
5) lats and oblique muscles
6) lower back and buttock definition
7) hi def shaping of the arms
8) definition of the calf
What type of scarring occurs in Hi Def Vaser Liposuction?
Scarring is minimal as we only require keyhole size incisions to perform the liposuction. The small wounds are generally healed within 3 days and no wound care is usually required after 24 hours. Dr Lanzer does not suture the incisions as they heal themselves
When will I see the results?
The results are visible immediately however the initial swelling and bruising can mean there is a delay in seeing the full effect.
The best results for high def vaser liposuction are 3-6 months after the procedure.
How Long Does The Treatment Take?
Hi def vaser Liposuction is usually relatively quick in the hands of Dr Lanzer who is so experienced. The procedure can take anywhere from one to several hours, depending on what area of the body you need treating. The treatment can also take a little longer if more than one area is targeted with Vaser.
The procedure can be executed under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic. Local anaesthetic is more common given the fact that it is a less invasive treatment with less downtime post operatively.
Are the results long lasting? Quick answer is YES!
Just like traditional liposuction, the fat cells are permanently removed from the body.
Note, this is not a form of weight reduction, but rather a procedure to reshape the body to how you want to be, improving your appearance, how you feel and your confidence.
What is the downtime?
There is very little downtime with high def vaser liposuction, we recommend to rest for 3-5 days before returning back to work and light duties. We do not recommend physical activity for 2 weeks after the procedure
Do I need to wear a special garment?
With all liposuction procedures we require you to wear a compression garment for 4 weeks. For 2 weeks this garment must be worn day and night, and for the last 2 weeks only during the day or at night. The garment is important for healing and will assist swelling, skin contraction and provide comfort. In addition to the compression garment you are also required to wear a foam binder for all high definition stomach procedures. This must be worn for 5 days all day and night. This is very important to maintain the best possible results and not alter the sculpting that Dr Lanzer has performed.
What are the risks?
With any procedure comes risks. The main risk with any surgical procedure is infection. But here we take great lengths to ensure our patients are at minimal risk of any infection and because of this Dr Lanzer is yet to see an significant infection in over 15,000 liposuction cases. We prescribe a course of antibiotics to take before and after the procedure as well as other steps to ensure your wellbeing.
What Do I Need To Take Into Account After The Procedure?
Once the procedure has been executed, you will have to take it easy for a while. It is recommended to take at least 12 hours of rest and avoid straining activities for at least two to three weeks. The results will be visible instantly, but will continue to improve as the body starts healing. Bruising and swelling are common and can take up to three weeks to begin to ease.
