Case Study
Male Liposuction Case Study (1)

Patient presented with the presence of breast tissue greater than 0.5 cm in diameter. Gynecomastia is diagnosed by the presence of true breast (glandular) tissue, generally located around the nipple. Fat deposition is not considered to be true gynecomastia

The patient chose to have liposuction to reduce the size of his chest. One can see how this has bought his torso into proportion with the rest of his body. Also notice the more athletic appearance of his body.

Male Lipo Case Study: Before And After Photos
Cosmetic surgery can be a life changing experience, with many of our patients saying they have waited decades to finally do something about it. A common procedure performed here is liposuction to treat gynecomastia. This affects many men in society and until recent years, not many men felt they had an option to treat the condition.
Simple things such as wearing a fitted shirt or going to the beach can be very uncomfortable for men who are self-conscious about the excess fat and tissue on the chest area. Some men have a combination of fat and breast tissue, whereas others may only have a small amount of breast tissue. This small amount of breast tissue can be enough to make the nipple protrude and be visible in clothing.
We have an increasing number of guys in their 20’s coming to have this procedure. They are even recommending friends to have the procedure and come for the consultation together, which is a fantastic support. Being able to share their experience and provide encouragement to other guys that would otherwise suffer alone is a vast improvement from how society was years ago.
Although we tell patients that final results will not be evident for a few months, it is not uncommon for men to become quite emotional upon removing the initial dressings. We warn patients about initial swelling and bruising, however even still, improvement can often be seen just a couple of days post-surgery.
A common question our patients will ask is regarding skin contraction and how their nipple will look post-surgery. The skin has an incredible ability to contract post Liposuction treatment. The procedure itself is actually disturbing the tissue in a way that stimulates collagen and elastin during the healing phase. The breast tissue is removed through a small incision along the lower half of the nipple. This is done carefully to ensure it remains along the natural curve of the nipple.
